I understand the need but Roux is very poor recently. Very poor.

He hasn't played since last December

    That’s true.

Munster’s T Byrne was out for a long time as an example but has been very good?
    James Ryan has been out.
    Kleyn.
    Others.

Hope he gets better. To be fair, whole team can!

Fully agree. Looks lost out there but he is not alone.

Had a horror show defensively in the Munster game just after lockdown, 4th year in the academy so very much prove it or loose it year

Yep and when you see the stock of Kilgannon and Peter Sullivan, it is going to be tough for him.

I hope he makes it. He is home produced so especially important for us to be as successful as possible with him.

In fairness one of those years was lost to a pretty big injury which he is only coming back from

Yes of course and that might somewhat explain the hesitancy and poor reads but from the outside looking in the fundamental skills aren’t there. Hopefully he’ll get consistent AIL/A rugby under his belt and improve quickly.

Trying to get the match (full or highlights even) on youtube, but it's saying it's private. Anyone have a link at all?

200 1885 club members will be drawn to attend although I assume that is subject to Galway going to Level 3

I'm in but assume not too many paid the membership for 20 / 21

    you mean level 1

we're (the majority of the country) currently in level 2

you dont want to go to level 3

I presumed that the poster meant to say "I assume that is subject to Galway not going to Level 3", since Level 2 allows:
up to 200 for outdoor stadia or other fixed outdoor venues with a minimum accredited capacity of 5,000

Dillane only concern for Saturday (HIA)

On other point, Irish TH is in crisis (O'Toole, Furlong injured), chance for Finlay now!!

I hadn't renewed for 2020 2021 but I'm still a member of the 1885 club. I was a season ticket holder last year and took the option to join rather than a refund on the remaining home games for last season.

So I'd say most season ticket holders from last year will be in in the draw

Me and my dad have a ST each on the one account. I got the email about the draw for Saturday and says I can just apply for one ticket. I presume I can apply for one each and just fill out the form a second with his name? Anyone else have multiple tickets on the one account able to help?

Might be best to email Connacht and check with them

Not trying to cast gloom but I see this season being very short. And as IRFU suggests losses are causing a lot of pain to the organization. I can see Irish rugby disbanded for the foreseeable future. This is not something I would wish but it's hard to see an alternative at the moment

Doesn't seem to have been mentioned but Eoin McKeon has retired. Presumed he would have ended up in France somewhere for a few years. Best of luck to him.

Saw that, I think if he'd been released at any other time he would have got a contract handily in France or England but who knows in the current climate.

Was an excellent home grown player for us down the years. I'm sure he'll land on his feet, always seemed to have his head screwed on.

I also saw mentioned on the pro14 website that some academy players are gone that I hadn't seen mentioned elsewhere but not sure if I just missed it. Luke Carty, Mikey Wilson and a few others that I can't remember off the top of my head.

Solid strong reliable player that never let us down. Peaked in that 2016 final.
