Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

55" TV recommendations

    Hi,

    I'm looking for some advice on a new 55" TV. My criteria are pretty loose; Smart, 4K / the best picture quality I can get for my budget.

    I've been browsing your site and I'm torn between the following;

    The LG 55SM8050PLC obviously looks the winner in the above list and has the NanoCell technology, but it's a bit out of my price range. I was hoping to stay below €600. I also quite like the look of the ambilight function with the Philips, but this might be a bit of a gimmick?

    Do you have any other 55" TVs that aren't listed on your site? I'd ideally be sticking with one of the more established brands; LG, Samsung, Philips, Sony.

    Thanks for the post.

    Those would be the main runners in and around that price point.

    For me it would be the SM8050 too as it is the one that has the best image reproduction and the LG Smart hub is very good.
    In 2nd it would be the 55TU7100 which is also a great televisions and again the Samsung smart hub does a good job.

    The Ambi light feature on the Philips is a nice touch and can be good for watching movies or sports, it can also be switched off if you don't wan to use it all the time.

    I would say you would be more than happy with any of the above if the Nano cell is stretching the budget.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph.
