light switch wiring

    Hi, very confused, tried many forums and can't figure it out.


    So I have a light switch and want to replace it. (2 switches for 2 lights)



    The current one is wired -



    Cable to A
    Cable to A1

    Cable to B1
    Cable to B


    and A1 and B are connected by separate cable.


    The new plug has N (in) L (in) L2 (out) L1 (out)


    Any one knows how to replace it?

    I'm very confused too. It sounds like you are trying to replace a light switch with an immersion switch or something similar.
    Why do you need to replace the switch? Is it faulty?

    That's a spur or double pole switch you bought not a light switch.

    So as you can see the current switch has wire going to A and B1 on top

    and on the bottom wire going to A1 and B at the far end

    ALso A1 and B are connected.


    The new switch I got is wifi controlled smart switch

    It won't work.

    You need the wiring altered by an Electrician.

    Smart switch needs a neutral so it wont work with your set up
