Low Whistle v Tin Whistle

Hi there, Just wondering if it's crazy to want to learn the low whistle without knowing how to play the tin whistle? I'm a bit old to be learning but look i'd like to start. I got a low whistle years ago as a gift. What do you recommend?

Depending on the key, the finger stretch and amount of air required to play a low whistle can be off-putting for a beginner

Tin whistles are cheap. Why don't you try a few lessons and see how you get on? You can always play the tinwhistle tunes you learn on the low whistle.
