Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

when did this phrase become a thing? it drives me crazy!
love watching youtubers and vlogs etc, since my recent return to the game
but this "game" thing is so annoying,
Am i being an aul fella (at 46)?

"Would you game that driver... i game a Ping g400"

    what ever happened to
    "I play a Taylor made M2 driver"
    "I play with Ping irons"

    rant over! ;)

Probably the Yanks again! Just keep repeating it properly - like so "You game?! Ah, you mean play! There's always scope in there for expletives too!:D

I think it's a vanity phrase coined by the 'cool' golfers to distinguish themselves over the 'hackers'. When I read 'gaming irons' I hear 'irons that no one can hit unless they have a near tour consistency swing'. Forget about them buddy, they're for me but not for you. That sort of thing. For the playaaas...

The phrase I can't stand is "that putt was clutch" or "that was a clutch putt". Never heard it said in real life all the same, only ever on the tele box.

Yanks tend to use golf as a verb too, "did you golf over the weekend"
    Doesn't bother me mind

    I'm into basketball and that
could well be adopted from there

"Clutch" meaning making a crucial difficult shot under pressure
