Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    I'm just starting this thread in hope that someone in RTE will read my pleas to get more of this programme on tv and totally deserving of an hourly slot.
    Home made, brilliand hosts, Roisin and Peter are a perfect couple and no pretentious bullsh1t....
    Come on RTE...i pay my licence fee....

    I love it! Warms my heart.

    But not enough material to fill an hour

    But a weekly episode on an o going basis would be great!

    I dissagree. ..it's way too short imo....
    Theres being episodes where I really wanted to see things in more detail...throw in a few hints and tips.....

    Anyone watching the new series. its an hour now which is probably a bit ott. Not loving the new presenter - think she doesn't get up as close and personal to the participants. They were trying to make it a bit like Dermot Bannon with the 'fake' confrontation between the participants, her giving out that she got rid of the baby clothes and him not being willing to part company with some of his guitars. She (the presenter) loved her buzzwords never used the word 'room ' it was a 'space'....

    Haven't seen the new series but does it still suffer from the same problem RTE has with all of these shows where 90% of the content is the homeowner having smoke blown up their ass at a pity party thrown for them?

    Viewers of home improvement shows are interested in the work being done and the end result, not the "quirky" hobby of the homeowner or gratuitous details about their illness / disability / mental health etc.
