Water connection

Hi Can anyone tell me would the attached picture relates to? We are trying to establish if there is an active water connection to a property to the mains as there is already a well there. A connection to the mains was noted on our boundary report for the property even though there is an active well. Thanks

Open it and see ? It's a shore lid but could be anything. Maybe check with Irish water. Is there an Irish water meter nearby what about the neighbours?
