Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Be interesting to know what if any work was being carried out on her at the time of the fire. One of the passenger windows below seems to have already been removed so perhaps they were beginning to take her apart and something caught fire?

Flew on G-CIVD LHR-LAS a couple of years back shame to see her go out like this.

Perhaps she decided self immolation was more dignifying than getting pulled apart? :(

There has been a lot of final ferrying recently of the 747s within the U.K so be interested to know what the destiny of the ones at Castellon are or if they are being scrapped there?

This turned up on Avherald when looking up the reg for previous incidents, pure speculation on my part, nothing confirmed about what's happened here in Castellon.

Saw on another site it's suspected they were in the process of dismantling the aircraft and cut through an oxygen pipe which then caught fire.
