Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    ffs...........................

and after being 3-1 down to come back to 3-3 and then having match darts in the last leg,oh chizzy boyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy :(

Feel like Chizzy's choice in finishing double might have been what cost him. Why take single 12 for double 18, when you can go single 8/16 so you have at least one extra double before you're risking the odd number inside.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,823 ✭✭✭Deeper Blue

Surely that's Chizzy's best chance to win a major gone?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,028 ✭✭✭boomdocker

as we well know, Chizzy got some previous, can;t finish a pressure match to save his life

he,s favourite double is 18.but not so when it mattered.

that is why Chizzy , like Ian White, Bellyboy Smith, Joe Cullen, Ronnie Baxter, Chris Mason, Tony O Shea, Wayne Mardle never won a thing of note....no minerals

Thought chizzy played some great darts under.serious pressure

Price has some game when the heat is on

    Great game

mardle accused chizzy of "over thinking"......let that sink in...

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,651 ✭✭✭US2

Chissnal won 17 legs , Price won 14 legs. Was fairly nervous watching Chisnal throw those match darts, had no faith in him

and mardle does say oh great to see a player step back and compose himself, mardle is like the weather.

he,s ok in very small doses

Sure, but time and time again he bottles it at crunch time and doesn't win, more so than any other "top" player, maybe apart from Michael Smith

oh well i commend him from coming back to make it 3-3.

Had a bet on Price to win, most 180s and highest checkout at 9/2. Of course they tie on a 130 checkout to cost me the payout...

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,435 ✭✭✭Scoundrel

That is why Price will win several majors and big tournaments and Chizzy won't it's all about bottle under pressure and price has that in spades.

Should be a cracker of a final tonight. Really don't mind who wins, both likeable players in their own way.

I've heard price being called a lot of things, but likeable is a new one.

I have read some people elsewhere say dirk will choke, but I dont think he will choke, its just I dont believe he is good enough to live with price's game.

Yeah absolutely if price is anywhere near his A game he wins and wins relatively easily but hopefully that won't be the case.

we all knew Dirk was not at Price's level,

But he got a set and saved the whitewash. Would be nice if he got the next to add some respectability, but regardless it was a huge week for the lad.

Is Dirk qualified for the grand slam?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,580 ✭✭✭bassy

That was the type Wade won after his second title.
MVG won a glass one that was taller but thinner than the one Wade won

there were others, such as an indented glass type disc wade won on his first title which was identical to what colin lloyd won.

Taylor won one that was more like the first one MVG won but different cut glass.

in my retro pics #2 gallery on my site you can see most of them
