    hello folks,

Asked elsewhere but no response so ye lads are always good for a few ideas.
The roof pitch is 26 degrees. I would like to put a "shed" dormer on this. This dormer style is basically an almost flat or low pitch dormer roof. The dormer roof will extend down from ridge line with a pitch of 16 degrees. The roof is slate but looking at putting something else, either very close to or suitably contrasting on the shed dormer, as pitch low.

    any ideas?

    Thanks.

Trocal with standing seams looks well and it will work from 4° pitch

"Sig roofing" think formally known as lagan supply a recycled Welsh slate that can be used down to a pitch of 12.5deg depending on application might be worth looking into, fiberglass could be another option for you, look up glassfiber.ie this might be another option. Then you have the likes of zinc etc but your getting into expensive stuff there

would black box profile sheeting look ok I wonder? At back of house anyway and wouldn't be seen from road.

Could use tile effect cladding, think you can get it with insulation, I think you have to work from left to right

thing is these tile and slate effect cladding are still just metal sheeting, but quite expensive. That's why I was leaning toward the box profile as a cheaper option which does not look too bad and once insulated would be fine.
