Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Thunderstorm/Convective Watch - Winter 2011/12

    About time we moved onto a winter one of these. Thunder was reported at Belmullet today between 2 and 3 pm.

    A chance of thunderstorms in the north tomorrow, along with some severe wind gusts and tornadoes in the Level 1 area.

    Severe downpours in west Limerick at present. Lightning also picked up.

    Further bands of heavy, squally showers pushing in as well.

    WOW unbelievable night. Just had amazing series of thunder n lighning strikes, One huge bang awoke me from my slomber I then looked out the window and a minute later one HUGE flash apeaerred and actually hurt my eyes it was so Bright, instantly followed by another huge thunder rumble. Incredible. Currently typing on phone as electricity is off and as you see with no spell check on phone my terrible spelling has been exposed!!!

    Hadd some loud thunder here around 4am, probably more that didn't wake me, quite a while since I've seen the radar looking like this! Plenty of strikes right along the west coast

    It was an amazing thunderstorm last night, In the space of 5 minutes I seen 6 or 7 lightning flashes alone. I also seen fork lightning once. Impressive to say the least.
    Although the sound of thunder was very intimidating.
