Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    It makes me realize how hard Irish pronunciation is, not just vs Russian.

    There are some similarities, not surprising since both are Indo-European but also perhaps because both have been more conservative than many other languages situated geographically between them e.g. English, Dutch etc.. English is less guttural than Irish or Russian. But most remarkably, I believe it is correct to say that the Slavic variety of L pronunciation is replicated in Irish to a greater extent than in any other European language.
