Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,
Meeting a friend this weekend and want to do a short walk from the pub to the fairy castle. Without going on the road can you walk here through the fields? Anyone particularly familiar with the area? Any online maps that plot walk routes? Thanks, A

Just follow the Dublin Mountains Way from the pub through the Glencullen Adventure Centre and on to Three Rock and Fairy Castle.

As Judge says, the DMW was rerouted some time ago to avoid the long road stretch to go through the GAP (Glencullen Adventure Park). You can find a map on the Dublin Mountains Way website.

I did just this route about a month ago, in the opposite direction. Very nice walk it was too, apart from the section about 2 miles from Johnny foxes which has been clear-felled.

And don't forget to visit the Ballyedmonduff wedge tomb - it's almost right beside the trail and just a (long) stones throw from your starting point.
