Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    How did Sean French play?

Very average. Didn’t get much ball out on the wing. Can’t see what all the fuss is

From what little I’ve seen seems to be very good going forward.

If he didnt get much ball and didnt have much to do how can you say is very average?

From what I saw of him I thought he was run of the mill. Looks speedy but didn’t have great handling skills.

Bit unfair to be calling a guy who just turned 19 run of the mill in his first senior season

It’s just that there’s a load of hype around him. I was probably looking with a critical eye

There is a lot of hype about all too many players but saying run of the mill about a kid is extremaly harsh

Does Penny have 7 tries in the last 3 Celtic Cup games?

  • Registered Users Posts: 579 ✭✭✭Heymans

Penny scored 2 off driving mauls and if I was asked was the pick of the players on both teams. Has quick line speed and gets involved in as many rucks as possible. Both teams didn’t really look interested in defending hence the high score line.

On French - he got bumped by Dave Kearney the one time he was called into defence

49-12 win for ulster away in Galway

Awful Celtic Cup campaign for Connacht. Team today had an u19 in second row, a patchwork backrow and three props, three halfbacks, and a centre on the bench.

Was the venue for the final decided before the cup? or how was that agreed upon?

wasn't decided before hand from anything I've found about the tournament.

Leinster will feel hard done by if they lose the final having beaten everybody relatively comfortably just to have to play the final in the opposing teams homeground

    Leinster win final 15-8
