BBC Two NI HD now on Freeview.

    BBC Two NI HD is now on Freeview. It has replaced the generic BBC Two HD service previously there. From Divis its on Ch 24. A retune may be needed to pick it up.

    This service is not on satellite yet due to space issues on the transponder according to the BBC. BBC Two Wales HD went on satellite as well as Freeview today.

    Glad that issue of BBC Two NI HD on satellite looks like it may be resolved in future. For those in ROI who cannot receive Freeview and have Sky/Freesat/Generic FTA not to have this channel is disappointing but hopefully it will come soon.
    Remember those here IN Ni who cannot receive Saorview have no access to RTE1HD at present as Sky/Freeview versions are SD only.

    BBC2 NI HD is available on the iplayer I think but since they lost the rugby it isn't much good. Same for the Wales version.

    Totally concur with this. Only rugby I tend to watch on it now is Scrum V International programmes. BTW isn't BBC iplayer blocked for those outside UK?

    Just noticed last night that BBC2 NI in SD (Freeview) went missing on the channel list so went into the full list via menu button and found the HD version on 102. I have both SD and HD versions of a few of the channels with SD's starting at no. 1 and the HD's starting at 101.

    Not looking forward to this going on Virgin Media Ireland if we loose generic one.
