ATMs in Waterford give out small notes first.

    Hi there,

Six days of the week your ATMs don't have €10 & €20 notes.

It seems this is because the day they are topped up they give out all the small notes first no matter what amount is requested.
I have three times now taken out €50 and received 5 €10 notes.
Usually it's the other way around though, I want €20, but can only get €50.
Just a small quirk of the ATMs around the city, but it can be really frustrating.

It would be great if you could fix this,
    Thanks

    Hi JohnFromWIT,

We have received the following response from our ATM team.

‘The majority of our ATM devices dispense €20 and €50 notes only. The combination of notes stocked is based on established usage trends. In a small number of selected locations, for example close to 3rd level institutions or retail campus services, €10 notes are also available. Depending on stock levels within the device, our ATMs are programmed to dispense notes in the most appropriate combination to suit the individual transaction. Note dispensing of the smaller denominations is not based on a first come, first served basis. Where there is a higher demand for smaller cash withdrawal amounts then the ATM may dispense its stock of €10 or €20 notes much more quickly. Reduced or depleated note stocks are “topped up” on the next service call to the device.’

We hope this information is of benifit to you and we would like to thank you for taking the time posting your query.

    Thanks,
    Elaine
