Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I'm getting the same message

Hope that's nothing to do with the 30 orders I put in for eBay.

You have to port your number or order a sim from someone else like Eir and port that number. Instructions on the first few posts.

Goddamn, just reading about this price drop on a Pixel 3a I ordered for €250 two days ago and picked up from the shop this afternoon and spent the last hour setting up!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 94 ✭✭BakeMeACake

people are whinging about paying 10 euro to eir to get this deal you are saving an additional 60 euro on an already good offer since yesterday yes its annoying... i think best google might do for black friday is bogof which this would still beat..

Why does one need to pay eir anything? I ordered a free SIM card from them which arrived today purely for the purpose of porting the number

Just noticed that. My eir SIM arrived today and was I a happy bunny when I saw the price drop to 180. Now to get over the payment issues that others are also reporting. Would be nice if someone could post saying when the Vodafone system is accepting payments

Would the P30 Lite be a good match for this?

Specwise they both look similar enough. The Huawei actually has more storage.

Because the deal might be expired by the time the SIM arrives next week.

Getting same error when I try to pay.

Looks like the deal runs until the 2nd of December, this is part of their black friday promotions

Crazy if they have that amount of stock to move, yet don't bother supplying any stores.

It is but store shoppers I would imagine are less bargain savvy and just get caught up in the christmas rush and vodafone are taking advantage of that.

Has anyone used a 48 sim to order this phone? I remember a previous Vodafone switch offer and it wouldn't allow porting from 48.

Thanks for that. I have a 48 sim lying in a drawer. I'll use that. Save me having to order one from Eir.

No luck it’s the whole website though so doesn’t seem to be a specific issue with pixel

Same here, I think... you get as far as the "Verified-by-Visa" page, and then when you click "Continue" you get this?
Sorry there seems to be a problem - you may have entered the wrong credit card type. Please contact your credit card provider if the problem continues. (DF-ATG-03)

Same here. But Vodafone website is in general pretty terrible and buggy. . May or may not be related to blocking Pixel sales.

I tried buying some accessories just now and same issues

Isn’t related to pixel it seems.

Just FYI I was in Vodafone Blackrock today inquiring about a refund for the one I bought last week so I could buy again with the additional €70 off. I had a look at their brochure while waiting and it said there was only €50 off this if you switch. It's possible the offer online may change to reflect this.

For those wondering you cannot do a refund in store if you bought the phone online. Needs to be sent back by post.

anyone that has had payment refused may want to check their account as the money was taken out of mine however I do not have an order number and Vodafone chat said you have to wait 24-hours to see if it rectifies itself

Heres a thread from five years ago. Vodafone engineers are working hard to resolve the issue.

    :D

So that's why their "Talk to...." page here on Boards got pulled? I only realised when I discovered this morning that their online chat and phone support shut down for the weekend. And their various social media platforms are equally unresponsive. Why even bother, like?

Also getting payment error and tried with a few different cards both debit and credit.

Seems Vodafone decided to activate the errors to block ordering online a few hours after they announced their Black Friday deals.
The positive though is that this may not be unique to Pixel orders and they will probably allow online ordering again at some stage.

Be aware though that based on their business practices over the years this is not incompetence or "technical issues" it is planned and deliberate.

The Pixel deal is an online exclusive deal. Why would they be trying to block people from ordering a deal they have on the site that can't be got through other channels?

I just rang call centre and they contacted Vodafone in Limerick and they are honouring that deal in store.

ill be heading in next hour so will report back if that is the case. They confirmed their website is problematic for them at the moment

Has anyone managed to get a refund on the difference? I ordered 3 days ago at 249, got it delivered yesterday. Phone is still unopened. Considering returning but it seems like a bit of an effort.

Be interesting how they're going to pull that one off when there's no stock in stores, and the ordering process to get a phone from the warehouse to the store is broken.

The website was also broken for me when I tried to order a few weeks ago when the offer first came out. Eventually started working.

I just got two emails cancelling my online orders?

  • Registered Users Posts: 81 ✭✭jamesoc85

I see people are having problems ordering. I was able to place an order yesterday around 11:30am for €179 with port from eir and I checked the status of my order this morning. It’s now “Your order is due for dispatch” so once they fix the online store I’m sure orders will work again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,814 ✭✭✭micks_address

    Dear Customer,

We are unable to process your order at this time due to order criteria limitations. All charges have been refunded to your credit card. If you would like to speak with one of our Customer Care Agents please call 1850 20 87 87.

    Thank you,
    The Online Store Team

Well just back from store and won’t honour it.

    Typical call centre crap’

It’s €239 and they have 2 left in limerick and 2 in ——- cork.

Ordered at 12.30 yesterday after seeing this thread. Checked the order status now and it's "Your order is due for dispatch"
