Ok so have new car, they have put something on the car which means the water runs off it and the dirt kind of sits on top of car.....

So I am wondering what I should be buying, so if I throw a glass of water it rolls off the car if you know what I mean......

    Thanks

I think you’re talking about a ceramic coating.

I would guess that is it

I just use some soaps etc bought from Halford

Hi, From what I have read new car paintwork should not be polished for at least a year as it is still soft. Just wash with a car shampoo and soft clean cloth.

You have read utter rubbish of the highest order.

D&D in Cork often have fresh-from-the-dealer cars with the white protection sheets still on in for their new car protection packages which involve polishing to make the paint finish better than factory.

    OP
Might be worth trying Sonax PNS topped with Sonax BSD,
up to 6 months protection from PNS and possibly longer by topping occasionally with BSD,
Super beading and gloss for very small money.

Thanks, so have two new cars now

One brand new and one second hand. Both are black....

Does it matter for colour what you use?

There can be specific products for different shades,
But Generally you should be ok.
The ones I suggested as neutral to any color.
One is aerosol and one is squirt bottle.

It depends on where is local to you.

Available from here > Sonax porducts

Again, depends on if you want to shop local or save money and order from the link I posted a few posts above ^^^
