Hi all just looking for anyone whose been in a similar situation. My father suffered a stroke in may, whilst there they discovered a suspicious mole on his back.

Fast forward 3 months he had the melanoma removed. Surgeon says its the most vicious form of melanoma. T4b. Through all the scans he received during the stroke and after they came back clear so they weren’t suspicious that it had spread.

The doc seems shocked that it hasn’t spread given the amount of moles he has and the severity of the preexisting melanoma.

He will be sent for lymph node biopsy and they want to dig deeper into where the mole was.

My query is really, is it possible for it not to have spread?

Your father's GP may be a good first port of call. the GP will have recieved the information and results from the hospital service and will be in a good position to answer your questions if possible
