Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Name for this architectural feature?

    Hi there,

I'm building a new build and thinking if incorporating a feature in my house that I've seen in a few builds online but don't know the name of it. That is, if there is even a name for the feature.

Basically it's a extended exterior wall that acts to provide privacy and often has a stone facade. Sometimes there is an arch, sometimes there isn't.

It's just an idea that I have but I don't even know what to ask an architect for or what to even search for online to collect ideas.

I have seen some of them around. We usually call them "walls"

    (just messing)

Screen wall, I think; albeit that term is used for other things also.

Thanks everyone for the responses. A "feature wall" is term I've actually used to describe the concept although hadn't heard of a "screen wall" before.

    That's the problem...it's essentially just a wall :)
Doesn't help when trying to find ideas online though.

External Stone Clad Feature Wall to X Elevation or simply .....a "wall".

May also want to accurately describe it in the public notices ;)
