Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

***Edit: As pointed out by fmul9798 the drill I linked here doesn't have hammer action which OPs drill does so bear that in mind

Another option for a similar price is this drill that is coming up in Lidl next week. It only comes with 1 battery but that battery is bigger and it also has a bigger chuck size than the ROk one so you can use it with bigger bits, but that might not be a a big issue for little bits of DIY

18V and 20V are the same thing.

    5 x 18650 batteries. 3.6-4V each. One brand uses 3.6V x 5 = 18V. The other uses 4V x 5 = 20V.

I bought a ROk drill once, never again. It was cheap and got me out of a hole but it was a pos. and died soon after.

Rok are absolute garbage. Should be treated as once-off disposables nearly.

That Lidl one linked in the op is actually decent for DIY and not expensive with a 3 year warranty.

    + 345 ??

Same as total junk, had one (ROK) that was barly capable of driving in a few screws into wood without pilot holes, battery could only hold charge for a few minutes too, absolute rubish

Got an Aldi Workzone cordless 20v hammer drill a few years ago to replace it, absolute beast of a drill, still going strong

I know a trades man whos using a parkside screw gun daily and swears by it too

Ehh, I got a 20v cordless hammer action drill in Aldi yesterday.
    Two 1.5Ah batteries.

Worked great for hanging a gate on concrete block pillars.

    €70
