Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi folks,

Quick query. I have never been off sick from work before until now, therefore it was my first time having to deal with illness benefit forms etc.

I’ve just checked my payslip and I’m getting my basic pay as usual but underneath it says Illness benefit and a minus figure, which is subtracted from my basic pay.

Can anybody tell me why this is?? I don’t understand why illness benefit has taken money off me.

Your employer pays your wages minus the illness benefit you would/ should have applied for.
Sometimes ,depending on the company policy or your contract they pay you all your wages and any illness benefit you get from social welfare, you pay back to them.
You basically get a full pay but split between company sick pay and SW illness benefit.

In your case they have already deducted the amount of IB , so it's up to yourself to claim it from SW.
    Hope this makes sense!
