Hi looking for some advise we are in private rented acc with HAP but we pay a top up direct to the landlord as Hap didnt cover the full amount of the rent. Due to my daughter being diagnosed with a chronic illness mt husband who is self employed wasnt able to work as much and we fell behind with our top up. We have recieved our 14 notice to clear the arrears but were not able to and are going to recieve our notice to move out in 28 days. We have been dealing with the council to try get medical priorty but still waiting we also have 2 kids with special needs.
My question is somebody said the council wouldnt help because we were paying a top up just looking for some advise.
    thanks

The council can't do much more until your actually out on the streets unfortunately ,
Have you been assessed as having medical priority even at that your still at looking at a long time to be housed

    How much are the arrears?
Can you get a loan to tide you over
