    One random question.

Why is a tree of remembrance decorated like that every year?

Thank you as I had never heard of this. Wish I were nearer and could add ribbons.... wonderfully meaningful idea .

This is very nice and all ^^

But it can be more nicely decorated.
For example with more ribbons ofc

Ah you are missing the point. It is not for the decoration but for the meaning. Yellow ribbons have a special significance and each yellow ribbon is in memory of a loved one .

This is hugely popular in Cork, it's become part of many families tradition to add a bow in memory of a loved one who has passed. I'm not sure if it's done elsewhere but I could see it catching on.

WISH I could be there. Such a nostalgic time. I am headed for 80 yrs and so many loved ones on my heart at this season. I light candles here in my island fastness....

What about the other Christmas three in the city center it just has the lights. And it uses the same principle as three of remembrance.
By that I mean they are just hanging from the tree. No Christmas ornaments lights following a nice circle pattern...
Don't get that in a negative manner or something. I am just wondering why is like that?

Also, the bishop Lucey park in the center was decorated in Christmas time but was only open at weekends...
