Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I came across this post on the kerry region and thought it might be worth having in the genealogy forum for reference:

    Thanks for the heads up.

    I have a personal interest in this area, and went on a trawl through the records of the old cemetery in Dunquin. It's a pity that the records don't go back a bit earlier, but that's they way things are.

    I found a big surprise: there is a record of the burial in the old cemetery of Peig Bean Ní Ghuithín (Sayers) of Baile Bhiocáire in December 1958 (yes, that Peig Sayers). Her memorial stone is in the new cemetery!
