Developing my Irish language

    Hi Everyone!

    I'm a TY student looking to improve my irish language. Although I managed to get a decent grade in my Junior cert (B), I never really enjoyed Irish, or any other langauge either. I wouldn't have considered myself good at irish.

    Ach ta gra nua agam don an teanga agus chultur gaelach. I hope that makes sense :-)

    As well as having more interest in class, I'd like to develop the language outside of school. however, I'm not sure where to look for resources. Could anyone suggest books, CDs, Podcasts, Websites etc. that would be useful? I understand i will need to practice my oral irish skills, ach is bunmuinteoir i mo dheirfuir, so she will help :-)

    I would love to achieve fluency in Irish, any tips are welcome :-)

    Is brea liom spoirt coisuil le badmantan agus leadog. Is brea liom a bheith ag leamh freisin. Combining my interests with irish would be very helpful. :)

    ballingeary and cape clear are close enough, but i probably can't afford to stay.

    My area, although close to gaeltachts, doesn't have much of an irish langauge community.
    Conradh na gaeilge is a great sugestion, I will try and look for nearby branches.
