Does anyone know if the "Breakdown Rescue" would bring your car from your house to the garage?
or does it have to be from a breakdown on the roadside?

    :(

Most will bring your car to the a garage of your choice within a certain distance of where the car is now and anything further after that would incur an additional charge by the driver. But you would have to check with the breakdown service provider for specific details of what's included on your policy.

    Aviva -
    "Towing
If you can't drive your car because of a mechanical breakdown, we'll cover the cost of towing it to the nearest repairer or your own garage - whichever is closer. If you've had an accident for which you're insured, we'll collect your car and bring it to our nearest repairer."

The insurance cover one is quite specific in what it covers.
