Need old photos for exhibition

Hi All I’m trying to set up a photo exhibition about sports/ activities from days gone by. Primarily sports played on the street. Football, hurling, hopscotch, roller skating etc. Is there a national archive, library of old pictures, newspaper archive that I can review. Appreciate any help or direction Thanks

yes, there's a national photographic archive, and many newspapers have archives; but, and this is a big but, the images may not be available to you for your purposes for free.
