Interesting stats on religious change in Ireland....

Didn't see this posted anywhere else on Boards yet :

Nice big jumps for non-Christian religions in there, though the map they provide on the CSO website isn't very helpful.

Any surprises do you think?

Hello,

The rise of the 'no religion' statistic comes of no surprise of course.

I have to say that I am surprised at the statistic regarding the first fall in the absolute number of Catholics in Ireland in 45 years. This is yet another clear indicator of change in modern Ireland & the fall of the Catholic Church. There was a time when these sort of statistics would have been thought to have been impossible....
