Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anybody know how to change the gearbox oil in one of these?

Is there a sight glass for checking the oil level? Remove and tip over the machine?

    The sight glass is removable?

They're a rare machine now! Could you give the previous owner a ring and ask him where the bung is?

We had one of these about 20 years ago and remember there was a square plate on the side of the gearbox that had to be taken off.
There is a YouTube video on a restoration of one of these that should help. Also there is a parts drawing and operators guide available on line too.

Yeah I got the operators manual online. Amazone are good that way to be fair, but it isn’t too clear where to fill the oil

Looking at the you tube video it seems to go in the plate at the top. no idea of the volume though.

    Well that’s convenient!

I think the original oil will have to do for another while
