Just wondering if anyone has any advice on my situation. I've zero experience with borrowing.

So, myself and partner want to build a residential cabin in one of our parents backgardens. Our aim is to move in there, stop paying crazy rent and save for a house in the future.

To do this we need to get a loan but nowhere will approve us for a loan as we are paying rent! Is there anyway to get the loan to pay for the work and then start paying it back once we are free from renting?

We both work full time, monthly payments for the loan required would be around half what we are paying on rent now so can be easily afforded!

We've just been using the online applications for loans.
