Hi would anyone know any irish companies/ shops selling eco-friendly christmas wrapping paper and crackers?

For wrapping paper you could use something that would normally get discarded like newspaper for example, and you could tie it with twine or ribbon. Or as my mother used to do, use a brown bag or leftover wallpaper for wrapping.

Another option for Crackers is to make your own out of toilet paper rolls, and you may find the cracker snaps in an arts & crafts shop: https://www.jamieoliver.com/features/homemade-christmas-crackers/#!6

i used to wrap presents in pages from the phone book, preferably pages with the recipient's surname on them. not so easy anymore...

Decided on brown paper for the wrapping paper. Am planning to wrap twine in a bow then and was going to go to the local christmas tree seller and ask if they will give me some of the scraps that fall off the trees and pop a piece in under the twine. I'll see how it works out

For the kids we use sacks and stockings. Reuse them every year. Saves on loads of time and paper.

We always saved every piece of wrapping paper from the year before, carefully folded and stored.

Now we do not do presents as such .
