Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Sounds an absolute nightmare.

Reminds me of the Hawe case. With the young kids killed at home.

Kids should be safe at their own home :(

Yeah, this sounds absolutely horrific. Those poor kids. Just makes you want to cuddle your own when you hear news like that. I wonder what could have led to such a shocking ending.

    RIP

Just horrific. Thoughts also with the emergency services personnel who had to deal with such a discovery.

**** sake guys. What's going on here? Bodies chopped up in Cork/Dublin. Gangs fighting all over the shop some poor bloke knifed in the neck. Are we going mad as a society or what.

I am hearing this on RTÉ News tonight. Good grief. This is a sad story & very distressing for anyone who had knew these kids through of all their lives.

I'm feeling very fearful for our country just recently, the scale of violence is scary.

Because that's the most likely explanation unfortunately.

Could be a gas leak, why assume murder?

Could be the spagetti monster either.....THe natural conclusion is always to assume the worst, especially when such little details are forthcoming which is mostly with murder cases.

    So so sad. RIP

I know what you mean, was just thinking the same. The latest run of news is thoroughly depressing. It really is heartbreaking.

    Per RTE
At this stage, gardaí do not believe the children died of natural causes, but will await the outcome of the post mortems to determine the cause of their deaths.

It says there was a note left.
Don't think you'd leave a note if there was a gas leak.

Tragic stuff. RIP to those young kids.

Similarly you wouldn't say that you're waiting for the post mortem to determine if it was a natural cause if it was an obviously violent end.

    Terrible news.

I live in a lovely quiet rural area. Ireland is still a lovely peaceful society. Unfortunately, this sort of thing is part and parcel of modern stressful society where the cost of living for families is dreadful.

Not sure we can say this has anything got to do with the cost of living yet.

Yeah, I know, sorry, it may be speculation so I'll say no more on that point.

Ah Jesus. Bless them all. We can be horrified by the deaths of three kids without speculating on the cause, which could be non violent too and I hope that is the case. We shall see.

First item on LBC news just now. UK radio station. I was very surprised at that.
