    They do not take paypal. Is it true your bank acc number is removed after the transaction?

    Correct that Amazon does not take Paypal,

    Amazon.co.uk does not have the option to pay with a bank account, only a credit or debit card.

    Other Amazon in the EU do allow payment with bank accounts.

    In all cases you need to remove the payment options yourself, you should after the item is posted as payment is taken when the item ships.

    In my experience provided the item is in stock is that credit card payment is taken on dispatch and debit card payment is taken when your make the order.

    Amazon have had my CC and DC numbers for 21 years and no one has hacked or misused them yet.
