    It’s a town but Killkee co Clare, best wait till it’s warmer though to enjoy the sea, otherwise doonbeg up the road in trumps hotel would be nice but expensive

    Youghal in cork. Fantastic history, nice beaches and lots for kids to do. Very close to Ardmore and cork city for day trips

    Portmarnock Velvet Strand.

    Hotel nearby backing on to it is good too. The one with the Golf Links.

    There is a great walk between there and Malahide all along the coast too.

    We are in the Midlands so easy to travel to anywhere really. Like the looks of Portrush at the moment, going work my way through the list, cheers everyone

    Second that. My uncle in Cork City drove me out there every dew days from Cork City where they lived, on holidays with them.

    Inchydoney, West Cork. Beautiful. While not a village, its 5 minutes from the lovely town of Clonakilty with fantastic grub, pubs and attractions. :D

    I usually stay in a cottage down there, path to the beach and amazing views over the sea.
