Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

Let's say you land in France from Ireland with a cat and you want to go to Italy.

What are the bare minimum requirements for this journey regarding paperwork and vaccines?

    Obviously you need:

    *pet passport
    *microchip
*rabies vaccination 3 weeks prior to travel

    Is that it?

Some are saying you need additional vaccination along with rabies vaccination plus a blood test to confirm all is good to go which amounts to 300 euro.

The blood test and additional vaccination is 190 euros.

Passport, microchiping and rabies vacc is 110 e.

Can anybody confirm what's required please?

The last time cat was vaccinated was 16 months ago.

Who is saying? I've done that journey with dogs and I believe that dogs and cats are treated the same in this regard. Passport, microchip and rabies vaccination. Returning to Ireland requires worming but not the outward journey. There are no checks between France and Italy.

Two vet clinics in Meath are giving me this information.

The staff i spoke to were not vets themselves but they were adamant the whole shebang was needed.

They were not 100% sure themselves in one of the clinics because they had to google some information.
