Hi I'm 11 and I'm planning on building a gaming PC with my dad at Christmas our budget is 1000€ and we're looking for advice on which parts to use

What OS should we get with this? Where should we get it? Bluetooth /WiFi included with this motherboard?

OS: Download Windows 10 installation tool from Microsoft, install, select "Activate later".

Forgot about wi-fi - you can get cheap PCI cards but you're better off with a long ethernet cable, or PowerLine adapters, if you plan to play competitive online.

Upgraded to same model with WiFi. Also bought Windows usb key. So, should be good to go. Thanks for your help

One final question; we've never built a PC before. Do we need any other tools / equipment to faciliate the build?

Philips head screwdriver, zip ties, anti static wrist band and take your time. Don't rush it.

Also, if something doesn't seem to fit, it's because 9 times out of 10, you're trying to put it in the wrong way, so take a look that you've definitely got everything lined up properly. Have fun with it

Hi Lads, I'm in the same boat as OP. Young lad is 12, wants to get into gaming.
Have done very little research but what I have noticed is you have to pay out for your bang. The game he really wants to play is x plane 11 (he has a thing for planes) but I am sure he will broaden his horizons so to speak and get into more games.
I have never built a pc before but I know I probably would be able given the time,but thats fairly scarce these days and I don't want to spend whatever time I have off xmas stuck in a pc.
So how about this if any body can advise .

Seems OK.., but the price is high, correct me if I'm wrong. You might spend less build it up yourself. 480 GB ssd drive-that's not enough, it will be filled with junks

The price is not bad considering it had windows 10, but better off to buy a better machine without windows and install yourself. Costs nothing to install from a usb stick and works forever without activation just fine.

That for example is better balanced, much better graphics card and very good quality ssd too (512gb is plenty) and costs less. Usually Intel is better for x-plane but open to correction on that, I'm sure a Ryzen processor would be fine.

At the moment it's not amd vs Intel for xplane 11 it's amd vs nvidia. Xplane 11 however is being rebuilt with vulkcan and will run fantastic on amd cards once its out of beta and released.

It is a cpu hog though also so the ryzen family is well suited for it.

My understanding is that xplane relies heavily on IPC rather than threads which is why the serious players always recommend Intel cpus for it. They all have 8700s, 9600s, 9700s, etc with strong clocks.

On the contrary I think Ryzen is not suited for Xplane, which is based on single core performance. Ryzen 3600 would be better but a 2600 would be way behind an intel cpu in it.

Ryzen 3000 actually has better IPC than Intel, they're just behind in clockspeed.

I recommend anyone getting a new gaming PC to get a 3600 or 3700X if they can afford them.

Was just about to chime in and back this up. The 3600 has much greater IPC than intel.

Overclock it and your onto a winner.
