How can I stop my son from getting fat?

Myself and my wife are very worried. Our son is 6 and he's going through this whole "best friend" phase with an obese boy. His parents are also grossly obese. We're terrified that our son will begin to see this as acceptable. Should we prohibit him from hanging around with the obese boy or have a frank chat about obesity…

I’m overweight and so is my wife and child. I’ve noticed my son playing with another child, pleasant young lad who doesn’t judge people on appearances. However, I’m worried that this kid’s parent may have the d1ckhead gene and that my child will catch it.

Should I teach my son that these people should be shunned and possibly bullied? That’s good parenting, right?

This probably isn't the best place to look for advice.
Maybe try the parenting forum and you'd be better off talking to your GP who may find you a suited person to discuss health and lifestyle/etc.
