Am looking for a home insurance policy with high shed contents coverage. Any recommendations? Most policies only cover 3-5000. Im looking for at least 10000, preferably 20000

You will have to ring around. The nature of the material being covered will have a baring on the quote also.
Recently renewed myself found Zurich to be very competitive. But do shop around, dearest quote was over double the cheapest for similar cover.
My previous insurance company wasn't interested in lowering their quote either.

Are all the contents domestic goods? Can some high value items be specifically insured separately? What is security like?

Mostly tools, no single high value items over 1000, just a lot of tools but no commercial use, all personal tools from previous job. Security is high, cameras, alarms, steel doors, german shepherd ect... More worried of fire than theft, as i did have a fire years ago and insurance only paid out 5000

As the tools are for personal use, you won't be able to take out a commercial policy. If the contents were something like a boat, quad, equine equipment etc., there are specific separate policies available for that sort of thing

However, you seem to have good levels of security (depending on where you live). You won't get anything online but a good broker should be able to find you something

Thanks, all sorted now, FBD contents will cover outbuildings with no limit, so am fully covered now.
