Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Puddles in utility room

    Our set-up in the utility is as follows, left to right; washing machine - heat pump tumble dryer - 600mm chest freezer. There's a press-side (for want of a better word) between the dryer and freezer. Last while we've been getting a fair sup of water on the floor from time to time. I dragged the dryer out into the kitchen and ran a load in it, to eliminate whether water was leaking out of it and there's not, ran a load in the washing machine while it was out there too and no visible leaks from inlet or outlet pipes to that,
    So here's the question; would the heat generated by the dryer when in use cause some sort of condensation build up on the freezer to the extent where we'd get the aforementioned water on the floor?

    If you cant determine where the leak is coming from and your beside it not too easy to diagnose, but here goes, check that the floor is dry underneath the w/m and start by sliding a sheet of newspaper underneath it, turn it to fill and let it wash for short while, check the paper next for wetness if no leak set it to drain and observe the stand pipe that the waste hose goes into and see that water does not back up and onto the floor during the empty process, if everything ok go to the freezer and check the base of it for ice that is coming through and condensing back to water due to faulty insulation, if that is the problem the d/f needs replacement
