That move from Max on Bottas was a bit impulsive, and he ended up with a puncture. Race ruined because of impatience

Albon on Vettel? This could get interesting!

Bottas was a bit napping in fairness, but yeah - Max was a looooong way behind, it's not even "Ricciardo bomb" territory, it was lucky enough it wasn't a "torpedo" scenario.

Also, strange it's not being shown, but Verstappen kinda passed Kvyat by cutting a corner in the early stages. Obviously Toro Rosso won't point that out...

Disaster for Norris, but good for Perez, he's busy fighting the Mclarens

Only joining now. Strategy mistake by Ferrari with LeClerc?

They boxed him to cover off the undercut from Albon.

    Vettel and bottas still going

Looks like Ferrari played into vettels hand. But leclerc with soft in the end might be interesting

And why hard and not medium?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,411 ✭✭✭Harika

Let's see how long it takes to get Hamilton

What was up with that Haas all over the road, commentators didn't mention it. Busy chatting to Button instead

Saw that, I actually thought a steering issue at first he was that far off.

Ah LeClerc :/ come on!! Would love to see him take Hamilton, should have plenty to get 2nd you'd think

I just can't see any of the front runners able to pass any of the other on track. They're all too close pace wise and they are critical on temperatures. They can't follow without overheating

You'd think Ferrari with DRS would smoke Mercedes, no?

Not sure if they'll get close enough though. Maybe LeClerc on Bottas

For the best part it’s a boring race.

Yep. As usual the best wheel to wheel racing was to be had in the midfield

Hulk got Torpedoed at the end as well.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,411 ✭✭✭Harika

Mercedes outsmarted Ferrari again, seriously why would you fear the undercut from Albon? Even if, can be taken back. Verstappen different story.

Ferrari strategy sucks again. Both cars 1&2 comfortably before the pit stops and end up where they did. WTF ?

    So disappointing :(

First full race I've watched in a while, and God it was boring after the first couple of laps. Think I'll stick with the highlights, though lately even they seem boring.

Brundle even alluded to it in the commentary at the end - F1 really needs the new rules to have closer racing.
