Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Electric oil heater vs gas central heating

I live in a one bedroom apartment with a gas central heater boiler. I saw recently that lidl have a sale on portable oil heaters (around 40 euros).
My monthly gas bill is around 40 euros with bord gais level pay. My electric bill is with electric ireland.
Would I be better off paying for an electric oil heater to heat 3 rooms (bedroom, living room and bathroom). Or should I stick to gas central heating ?
    Thanks.

Electric heating on the regular tariff (i.e. not using cheap night time juice with storage heaters) is the most expensive. Stick to gas.
