Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Fuse blown on heating system pcb

    Hi,

    Our heating went this morning and when I went to check the Nest Heatlinks there was no power going to them. I took off the cover of the junction box and I saw that the fuse had blown and the clear fuse cover had melted.

    Can I pull this off and replace the fuse or should I call in a pro?

    Looks like you have to change the whole pcb. Job for an expert possibly

    You should be able to change the fuse but most likely something like a faulty pump is causing it to blow so you'll probably have to find the cause.

    Looks to me more like a bad fuseholder, rather than a blown fuse.
    I have come across these (on other systems) multiple times.

    Needs a new fuseholder soldered into pcb, but there may be heat damage to pcb also..

    Yea it does look like a very loose fuse holder causing problems there.

    The way these things are so cheaply built and soldered down these days. I’d be bugging Nest on social media about this requesting a replacement.

    Why would Nest fork out for failure on a boiler PCB??
