Early exit for Sainz with an engine issue and Russell only 6 tenths off Stroll's time, not bad when you consider the Williams is a second slower than everyone else

Fancy Max for pole, that Red Bull is hooked up!

Vettel and Verstappen for the front row is my prediction.

Max definitely the one to beat. Strange end to Q2 there with nobody improving on the second runs

Great lap from Verstappen, this could be a tasty fight tomorrow with three teams fighting for the win

Be good to see a decent show from Ferrari tomorrow.

Going to be fun watching leclerc burn through the field...Hopefully.

Interesting to see Haas top 10? Where the hell did that come from?!

Red Bull and Mercs race pace is meant to be better than Ferraris, Merc cannot overtake Ferrari on a straight, so providing Max keeps the lead into the first corner, he should be favourite for the win. Merc will have to under/over cut Ferrari in the pits you'd think to get by, assuming Hamilton doesn't manage it at the start. Max and Vettel having a coming together at the first corner definitely has possibilities, we'll see tomorrow!

    Just seen the highlights now.

Wow that was a great lap by Max and great to see someone else on pole here instead of a Mercedes car.

    Well done Max.

Red Bull and Honda doing a great job. Hopefully they can keep doing it into next year too and it could make for a really exciting season next year.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

The chances of that are slim. 4 or 5 decent races a years.

I disagree. This year has been quiet good with both Ferrari and Red Bull improving a lot and Mclaren on the way up too. We have had some really good races. I think next year should be better again and then in 2021 with the new cars and new regulations that will be a very interesting year too.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Bernie had nothing much to say about Lewis winning 6,

    Strange!

I don't think he could hear what they were asking him.

Or maybe he's just lost it.

    Combination of both probably

Hamilton got a clean start, I expect the front few to not attempt any overtaking on track and it will all be done in strategy

Jaysus that was close to tears for Max and Kubica

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,573 ✭✭✭PsychoPete

    Fantastic stuff from Max

Puffs of smoke from Bottas and he's gone

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,977 ✭✭✭TheDoctor

That hardly needed a safety car

    Can’t hurt the race though!

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,937 ✭✭✭Cool_CM

Full SC, this is going to make things interesting!

I really don't understand why they needed a full safety car for that. He was stopped at a gap in the fence FFS

Looks like Lewis will have a fight on his hands

    Albon and Max, wow!

That was a nice clean pass from Max, Albon getting his elbows out on Vettel. Good pass and good defence.

    Ferrari implosion!

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,937 ✭✭✭Cool_CM

    Ferrari....
This could be a Red Bull 1,2

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,573 ✭✭✭PsychoPete

I was thinking they are going to end up touching

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,977 ✭✭✭TheDoctor

That will be the end of the race under the SC so

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,937 ✭✭✭Cool_CM

    Gasly on the podium
