Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Paint / Finish Remover

I've got a couple of large finish removal tasks coming up and sanding/scraping will take several years, so I'm looking to chemical solutions:

    1. A large varnished pine chest (total rebuild too)
    2. A big heap of varnished oak veneered MDF (also total rebuild)

There are loads of options out there. I've seen some great results online of people using gel based removers but less so about liquid removers.

Lenehan's have a baffling array of options for someone new to this. https://www.lenehans.ie/paints/decorating-sundries/paint-removers.html

    Any recommendations from personal experience?

    Ta muchly

Try Conservation Technology, Davitt rd Dublin, for proper paint remover, any of the stuff the high street shops sell is not great
