Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Kleyn is pronounced 'clane' for fcuk's sake. Does it not stand to reason that it rhymes with Steyn? It does my head in people calling him 'Klein' all the time. Bunch of numpties

Closer to 6 given the injury happened earlier this week supposedly. He may even be back for the Wales game although I'd be surprised unless he recovers ahead of schedule.

Be absolutely fine for Edinburgh though.

How about no 'clever' caption and stupid poll that takes up a quarter of every mobile page?

Doug Howlett now part of the Cork hurlers backroom team. He will continue his role with Munster rugby.

A controversial choice... we need a poll to decide on this.

Munster have won five out of their last six away games, with the only loss being a LBP against Ulster when they sent a largely second string team.

This is after losing the first three away games of the season

He see G V D Heever tearing it up for the Sunwolves in Super15. Was wondering where he had gone to. Scored 2 nice tries

Best away record our conference I think? Least points and tries conceded in the whole league, Van Graan is starting to put his stamp on the team. Reminds me of how Rassie and Nienaber built up our defence.

In attack we've the second most points and tries scored behind Leinster too. Still think there's a lot more the attack can give, and I'm not sure Felix has it in his locker to push us on to the next level required to win the likes of the Heineken... luckily defence can possibly win you titles too though.. :)

We can safely rule out Conway from being released to Munster after he came on early today.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

The Munster Rugby Medical Department have released the following injury update following Friday night’s game against Ospreys.

Ciaran Parker sustained a hamstring injury and will be managed by the medical department.

Chris Cloete presented with concussive symptoms post-match and will enter the graded return to play protocols.

Joey Carbery sustained a hamstring injury at Ireland training last week and will continue his rehabilitation in Ireland camp.

The following are progressing with rehabilitation: Brian Scott (foot), James Cronin (leg), Dave O’Callaghan (foot), Tommy O’Donnell (shoulder), CJ Stander (cheek), Sammy Arnold (leg).

    https://munsterrugby.ie/2019/02/25/squad-update-pre-scarlets/

    Possible team vs Scarlets:

    Loughman, Marshall, Archer, Kleyn, Beirne, Wycherley, Oliver, Botha;
Mathewson, Hanrahan, Sweetnam, Scannell, Goggin, Nash, Haley

KOB, LOC, Knox/Ryan, Holland, JOD, Cronin, Johnston, Taute

Ireland: Scannell, Kilcoyne, Ryan, POM, Murray, Carbery, Farrell, Earls, Conway
Injured: Scott, Cronin, Parker, DOC, TOD, Stander, Arnold

Munster might get John Ryan back as he played less than twenty minutes off the bench against Italy, plus Munster are short at tighthead with our third and fourth choice players unavailable. If Ryan is not released, then it may come down to Keynan Knox to provide cover.

Could Rory Scannell get a call-up if Aki is out?

Aki, Ringrose, Henshaw, Addison all injured!

If all of the above are out I’d go with the two Farrells and then McCloskey.

Yeah, I've no idea of the timeline on any of them, just wondering is he in with a shout, he's been in good form lately. Or are there others ahead in the pecking order?

Yeah other Farrell was in Rome yesterday so would imagine he would be in line

In the 42 that aki past his HIAbut medics said no. He’s also asking Schmidt if he can play for Connacht this weekend. Safe to say he’ll be fine for the French match
