Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Be careful in Centra's for those eggs..

.. my local Centra is selling eggs at 4 for €4 but then another one locally (an award winning Centra nonetheless) are selling the same range at 3 for €5.

You could end up with egg on your face if you're not careful

Just got my online shop and got 4 for 4 in it. They had greater selection than the 2 shown on website.

I'd be on facebook calling them out on the official supervalu page (not their own page). No need to do it in a harsh manner, just "do ALL supervalus have this offer, as my local one does not and claims not to have heard about it"

My local supervalu often has offers that are not on the main site, they seem to be a fairly loose franchise, however I would have thought if the official site is saying an offer is on then the franchisees have to honour it. They might be pleading ignorance but the head office could give them a boot up the hole.

All the Cadbury’s eggs for €1 was gone only nestle left but I don’t like nestle chocolate, went to Tesco ended up getting 5 for €5. I only wanted one chocolate egg but now I have 5 lol

Lidl have their Easter range at half price. Picked up their large deluxe eggs for €3.99 each, chocolate bunnies for 59c etc etc.

mars & smarties are the only ones showing as available on tesco for me for the 5 for 5 on tesco
    https://www.tesco.ie/groceries/SpecialOffers/SpecialOfferDetail/Default.aspx?promoId=R32845655

I imagine they are selling far less as the smaller eggs are usually given to kids by uncles/aunties or friends of the family who will not be visiting. I don't think this 5/5 deal went on this long continually in previous years, seemed to go back to 3 for 5, and then maybe 5 for 5 again.

I heard of grannies in post offices posting them. In previous years, before this current situtation, I was saying a smart thing supermarkets could do would be have vouchers that could be sent in the post or online, so nowadays parents could get the eggs for the kids on behalf of that person.

Supervalu have small Cadbury eggs 4 for €4

A wholesaler selling to the public has them for less than a euro - you need to click and collect and spend over €30 though.

Great deal on boxes of 48 creme eggs too.

I am pretty sure VAT has to be added to the 48 8.99 price, so its 11.06.

I was suggesting facebook, but yes you could go the legal route and they should likely get a slap on the wrist and probably be forced by head office to do the offers, history on the site shows other companies have got pulled up for similar offences.

Was in my local euro giant today and they had the large Galaxy eggs (the ones that come with 3 bars and are usually €8) for €3..and they had a selection of eggs, (the ones that are usually 2 for €8) for €2 each. Cheapest I've ever seen them.

Thought I saw them a while back at €18 each. Ridiculous price

Think another brand are making a similar product at a cheaper price

Tescos doing the 5 for 5 euro yesterday, even though on website saying half were unavailable they were all there.

In previous years it was only one weekend they did it, now with the times they must just want to sell them all.

Dunnes has the creme eggs a pack of 5 at half price 1.50. Bought a few to do treasure hunt around the garden.

About 30% off all Easter Eggs in Aldi, its been up on their website for a while now.

Apart from one lady buying six, it was all very calm and orderly in Aldi this morning.

They also had flour, which was sold out within 45 minutes to lots of very happy people who I must say were only taking one each.

I know Supervalue is a franchise but it can be real headwrecking to see an offer advertised nationally and then your own local store isnt doing it. Subway is another business where this happens, we've seen it on threads here before. At the end of the day it only serves to p1ss customers off and wastes advertising effort from the central office.

Local dunnes stores here had half price eggs, local Tesco had none. Dunnes recommended if you've to hedge your bets.

Tesco Wexford had a few yesterday . There was a Lilly o Briens Hamper which was €15.99 down to €4.99. They had a few Lindt big Eggs too but was not sure on the price on them. They are at the reduced to clear section where the chocolate is, and also the last aisle before the frozen food too. Not much of a selection though .

Thought Easter had gone away til next year?

    Not quite!

Upto 75% off Easter Eggs at Thornton's UK website.

    https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/up-to-75-off-easter-eggs-at-thorntons-delivery-is-395-or-free-if-you-spend-35-3479077

Using Parcel Wizard would be the only viable option here due the size or if you're willing to spend more, Parcel Motel + Home delivery option.

Read the description on the HotUKDeals website to get the best deals and don't forget to use the 10% off code.

For instance the bulk price underneath the single price is the one worth going for.

I think my figure will regret this! :pac:
Thorntons had to split it into 2 packages but still so worth it!

Btw, there's an extra 25% off code in the HotUKDeals link the left few days.

Hope the rest of you have yours arrive safely too!
