Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The following names are made up btw.

company A) is Carlow physio and recovery

company B) is called physio in Carlow, wicklow, louth and Tullow.

would company A have any legal case against company B using a similar name?

both companies operate in the same town.

Company A has their name registered with CRO.

Company B has a terrible name but I wouldn't imagine so, fairly distinctive differences in the names

Both should have better names but the one with reg name will sue the competition

B reads like a description of an individual in an Ad rather than a company name.

Are you comparing like with like.

Yes. are the names too similar in your opinion?

No. I don't think that by adopting a business name which includes the fairly broad terms "physio" and "Carlow" you thereby get an effective veto over any other name featuring those two terms.

(Note that registering a business name does not give you any kind of exclusive rights, or bar the registration of other similar names. That is not the point of business name registration.)
