Nail polish on floor boards

Some carelessness with nail polish caused this damage on our engineer boards. I don't think there is anything we can do, but typing this hoping someone has a killer idea!

Is that a coating of nail polish or damage from using nail polish remover?

Indeed. I'm told now that it was nail polish glue! Don't know.
I sent the same picture to the manufacturer this morning and they replied saying "You can try neat acetone to remove the nail varnish – this should not damage the top layer if used sparingly "

Yeah, I'd start with acetone.

RS (Radionics) have various other useful cleaners, like this stuff I just used to remove a load of glue from glazing:

They look like good products!
I had been thinking the cheaper acetone product https://www.boots.ie/beauty/makeup/nails/nail-polish-remover/boots-extra-strength-nail-polish-remover-200ml-10227971p
I've use Homax products Oops very successfuly to remove the likes of glue before...maybe worth a go on the floorboard!

i would get another board and replicate the accident and then use that to experiment on.

I bought this one in boots tonight https://www.boots.com/boots-nail-polish-remover-pump-200ml-10228647 and it worked first time with a little bit of cotton wool!!!
