Just upgraded. My usual account goes to a black screen after I enter the password. If I turn off the iMac and switch to another account then it works as normal. Help!

Some progress. Restarted in recovery mode, usual account opened OK and I am in 11.0.1
Safari won’t open, bar stuck at about 15%

Crossed my fingers and did a restart. All seems to be working including Safari.
I didn't enjoy that!
